Programs Visual Communications This program of study includes basic skills courses in graphic design and progresses to more advanced multimedia and animation techniques that include computer knowledge and software applications currently employed in the Graphic Design industry. Students in the Visual Communication Program also take a general education component that facilitates communication and interpersonal skills vital for success in a professional and competitive environment. Associate Degree in Applied Science in Business Administration - Accounting Specialization The Business Administration - Accounting Specialization Degree Program is an 18-month program designed to prepare students to enter the job market with the skills and knowledge of business necessary to qualify them for responsible positions in the accounting field. Associate Degree in Applied Science in Business Administration - Management Specialization The Business Administration - Management Specialization Program is an 18-month Associate degree that offers students a strong liberal arts curriculum combined with a comprehensive management curriculum. Associate Degree in Applied Science in Office Administration - Business Technology Specialization The Business Technology Specialization in the Office Administration Associate Degree Program is an 18-month program that combines a broad-based liberal arts education with the practical skills necessary to compete in today's rapidly changing business world. Students will focus on a number of software packages: word processing, spreadsheets, Windows, and desktop publishing. The combination of courses in this curriculum gives students a comprehensive understanding of how different skills work together in the technology rich offices of today. Associate Degree in Applied Science in Office Administration - Legal SpecializationThe Office Administration Associate Degree Program Legal Specialization is an 18-month program that combines a liberal arts college-oriented experience with the legal secretarial training in professional skills required for administrative careers in the legal field. The objectives of the legal specialization are to maintain excellence in skills training and to prepare the student to meet the challenges of the legal profession by providing an educational program of practical value enriched by a broad liberal arts background. The courses will foster critical thinking, communication skills, and a sound value system. Students will also have the opportunity for work experience in a legal setting during their last quarter internship. Associate Degree in Applied Science in Office Administration - Medical Specialization The Office Administration Associate Degree Program Medical Specialization is an 18-month program that combines a liberal arts college curriculum with medical office training in professional skills required for administrative careers in the health care industry. Students in the medical office administration specialization will take courses providing them with a broad understanding of the field. These include: Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Third Party Billing, and Medical Office Procedures. In addition, liberal arts classes in the humanities, social sciences, math, and law fields will be offered to foster critical thinking, communication skills, and a sound value system. Networked computer environments permit users to share information and equipment through a collection of data communications hardware, computers, communications software, communications media, and applications software. Certificate Program In Computer Technical Support The Computer Technical Support program is a 9-month certificate program in the day and 12 months in the evening that provides students with hands-on experience in operating systems, networking, software applications, and network maintenance. Graduates may seek positions to support end users and programmers in business environments. Networked computer environments permit students to share information and equipment through a variety of data communications hardware, computers, communications software, communications media, and applications software. In addition, students will be introduced to the communication, interpersonal, and career building skills that are essential to success in business. Administrative Office Technology Certificate Program The Administrative Office Technology Program is a 9-month certificate program for day students and a 12-month certificate program for night students. In this program students will be introduced to how information is used by management to make decisions, how to use effective communication skills to perform successfully as part of a team, how to use business applications software to manipulate and integrate information, and how to solve information management problems. In addition, this program provides hands-on experience on current hardware and software found in the most modern of office settings.
