Our Story Texas Culinary Academy is an outgrowth of a Chef apprenticeship program that was sanctioned by the American Culinary Federation in 1981. In pursuit of excellence as a premier educational facility, the school concentrated on curriculum content, educational objectives, and student success. Program excellence triggered enrollment increases which eventually lead to a move to larger quarters in 1989. In September 1999, the name was officially changed to Texas Culinary Academy. Accreditation Texas Culinary Academy is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education.
